Membership benefits
Key benefits include:
* luncheon and other events - FEI conducts regular luncheon events, usually monthly. The events have either leading guest speakers or panel discussions on particular issues or topics. They can be over either a full meal or a sandwich lunch. FEI is active in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. FEI sends its members notices, generally by email, of chapter events and members receive preferential pricing over non-members. FEI holds occasional other functions, including new members functions, some of which are without charge.
* networking - FEI's functions provide an opportunity to network with peers and associates and to discuss current issues and trends relevant to financial executives.
* mentoring - FEI has a mentoring program for young financial executives, whereby they have a one-on-one dialogue with an experienced CFO. We focus on acquiring the wide-ranging skills which form part of the role of the contemporary CFO, not merely keeping the score. Young financial executives must be nominated by a corporate sponsor of FEI to gain entry into the program. See the page on mentoring for further details by clicking here.
* a program for financial executives in mid-tier companies - in 2008 FEI started a program for a group of ten CFOs of mid-tier companies to meet periodically over lunch to discuss various topics under the leadership of a CFO or other senior executive from a major company. FEI will run this program in Sydney and Melbourne in 2009/10.
* international conferences - If you visit the USA, members are eligible to attend conferences and seminars organised by our sister organisation, FEI in the USA, an organisation with 15,000 members and a full time staff of 40 or so. Please contact the Secretary if you wish to attend an FEI USA event. We would expect our members would also be welcome to attend conferences of other FEIs around the world.
