Welcome to FEI, Australia's association for chief financial officers and other financial executives

THE FIRST LUNCHES OF THE YEAR

Details of our first lunches of the year are below - 29 February in Sydney and 30 March in Melbourne.

We shall hold a Extraordinary General Meeting before the Sydney lunch on 29 February to approve a change of name to Financial Executives Institute of Australia and to make changes to the constitution, mainly relating to the appointment of directors. MENTORING PROGRAM

Our mentoring program for 2012/13 will start in April/May 2012. Any major companies or their CFOs who are not involved in the program and who may be interested in joining the program should contact Robin Cumming (FEI's Secretary).  Robin's contact details are racumming@fei.org.au and 0418 294 958.  Our mentoring program for 2011/12 has 47 mentorees: 24 in Sydney, 20 in Melbourne and 3 in Brisbane, an increase on the previous year's 45 (17 in Sydney, 19 in Melbourne and 9 in Brisbane).  Feedback from the 2010/11 mentorees was again very positive, as has been the interim feedback from the 2011/12 mentorees.

PROGRAMS FOR CFOs OF MID TIER COMPANIES

The second meetings of the programs will be on Friday 23 March 2012 in Sydney and on Friday 16 March 2012 in Melbourne.  Interested CFOs should contact the Secretary, Robin Cumming, on racumming@fei.org.au or 0418 294 958.  Click below for the flyers which also contain the enrolment forms.  The Sydney program is almost fully subscribed.  Some late enrolments are still possible for the Melbourne program.

SYDNEY LUNCHES

Our next lunch in Sydney will be at 12.30pm on Wednesday 29 February 2012 at the Union University and Schools Club.  Mike Quigley, the CEO of NBN Co, will address us on 'NBN – the facts'.  Invitations were sent to members on 30 January.  Click here for further details.   Before this lunch, at  12.10pm, FEI will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting, the purpose of which is approve resolutions to change our name back to Financial Executives Institute of Australia and to change the constitution, mainly relating to the method of appointment of directors.

The 2012 lunch program will be posted as the speakers are finalised. Meanwhile, the provisional dates are shown. Click here for details the 2012 Sydney lunch program .

A few weeks before each lunch we send each member an email giving details of the lunch and a booking form.  Email a scanned PDF of the signed booking form to Catherine Kennedy, FEI's Administration Officer, at admin@fei.org.au.  Alternatively fax the form to 02 9238 6215, confirming by email that you have done so.  Her phone is 02 9238 6214.  Pay by Mastercard, Visa or Amex. 

MELBOURNE LUNCHES

Our next lunch in Melbourne will be at 12.30pm on Friday 30 March 2012 at The Australian Club. Mike Smith, the CEO of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, will be our guest speaker. Invitations will be sent to members in February.  Our first lunch of the year is slightly later than usual, but will be well worth waiting for! 

The second lunch will be at 12.30pm on Thursday 26 April 2012 at The Australian Club.  Peter Day (an FEI director) will interview Brian Kruger, the CEO and former CFO of Toll Holdings Limited.  The lunch will also launch our 2012/13 mentoring program in Melbourne.

BRISBANE LUNCHES 

Details will be notified to members in due course. 

We are planning a lunch for CFOs in Brisbane in March, after which we shall plan the 2012 lunch program for Queensland.
